Because You’re Ready For It
Rage of Astrology cast with Elsa from ElsaElsa.com, Kathleen Schmidt's writer's resources, my new CORRIDOR NY column, and a 20% summer discount for first-time astrological clients.

THIS WILL BE a quick post. So, let’s jump in.
Elsa Elsa: Delight, Delight
• I’m proud to brag about having created (and published) one of the first blogs in 1998 (before the word ‘blog’ even existed), back when the internet was fun and more of a wild, wild west experience than it is now.
Typical me, the blog was titled Giving Head, and it ran for over fifteen years. It wasn’t astrological content but had more to do with ruminations about pop and gay culture—film, movies, sex, and politics. For astrology stuff, I would visit ElsaElsa.com, which was, I think, the very first astrology blog/site/forum to exist online. (Elsa emailed me this morning and said she launched her site in 2001, so yeah, that’s about right about pioneering).
Anyway, this is a longwinded intro into our latest episode of The Rage of Astrology: Outsider Astrology Podcast, featuring—who else?—but Elsa from ElsaElsa.com. Rachel, Andrei, and I had a blast rolling along with Elsa’s stream-of-consciousness insights and stories. It was a pleasure to finally meet up with one of the savviest, no-bullshit astrologers working today.
Professional vs. Amateur
• If you are a writer looking to find an agent, editor, designer, publisher or self-publishing strategy, I recommend taking out a subscription to
’s Publishing Confidential Substack. Kathleen worked for years in the world of the Big Five publishers before launching her own wellspring for writers. I booked a one-on-one session with her last month, and she helped me clarify the objectives (regarding publicity and advertising) for my new Jeffrey Dahmer romance novel (covered in my Substack). Schmidt also had suggestions regarding the book’s cover design that made everything shift into a sweet spot once I began setting the book up in InDesign.Imagine the Possibilities
• For my new seasonal column on Dan Synyder’s CORRIDOR NY site, I write about the importance of practicing discrimination when it comes to constantly imbibing imagery—an act we’re all subjected to every day when we’re trapped in the endless scroll on our phones (and then binging Netflix for hours once we’re home). Gorging on imagery is a sign that your own imagination is calling for you to find your way back to its protean power. Bonus news: Dan is currently running a 30% summer sale on many of his designs.
• And on the subject of DISCOUNTS: For a limited time, I’m offering a once-a-year 20% discount for new clients who’d like to book a session with me. Schedule now as my calendar fills up quickly.

Hello Frederick, I have a couple of questions about your astrology reading, and I'd like to take advantage of your discount if it is still available. Please let me know how to ask questions not on the public forum. Thank you, CM camtz@fone.net
I listened to the Elsa interview first thing this morning. Quite interesting. Like an extended Elsa. I've been with her I think since the beginning. The whole session was great.
