The new documentary’s approach is surprisingly unique—where the meta-narrative of Hudson’s career (and super fun—but closeted—sex life) is mirrored in key cinematic winks. From the moment the film opens with a detailed take on Hudson’s prophetic dream of a giant diamond illuminated by a circle of lights, I was hooked. Highly recommended. (How to watch).
