BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE, here’s a statement from author Margaret Atwood cobbled from an interview she gave back in 2017. Please set this to needlepoint and hang it in your living room:
“I’m waiting for the first lawsuit. I’m waiting, you know, for the lawsuit in which the family of the dead woman sues the state...And I’m also waiting for a lawsuit that says if you force me to have children I cannot afford, you should pay for the whole process. They should pay for my prenatal care. They should pay for my, otherwise, very expensive delivery. You should pay for my health insurance. You should pay for the upkeep of this child after it is born. That’s where the concern seems to cut off with these people. Once you take your first breath, it’s out the window with you. And, it is really a form of slavery to force women to have children that they cannot afford and then to say that they have to raise them...People have to decide what kind of world they want to live in. Are we in favor of forced childbirth? Because that’s the world that we are going to get if we shut down reproductive rights. Right to life is one way of putting it. Forced childbirth is another way.”
A Quick Take
Here’s the horary for the moment that Politico published the news about the leaked draft from the Supreme Court:
As I wrote in last week’s Horoscope for Moderns, Mercury—having escaped the confines of the Kala Sarpa nodal lockdown—was like a twitchy finger over a button. Squirming to ‘release something’. And just as the Moon, also breaking free from the nodal bookends, touched Mercury the ‘button’ was pushed. The public (the Moon) was alerted via the media (Mercury) about the draft (Gemini).
There’s a lot to consider in this chart because the Moon, acting as the minute hand on the wheel, is going to set off a chain of aspects, being in such an early degree of Gemini. Squares to the Pisces planets and then a trine to Saturn while squaring Neptune. This is like someone saying, “Do you want the good news first, or the bad news?” When actually both ‘answers’ foment more confusion and questions.
Uranus opposing the ascendant would be the ‘shock’ of the leaked document, (Politico called it an “unprecedented revelation.”) And in a house that’s associated with open opposition (an enemy), it’s someone or some institution with radical (Uranus) aims. Shattering the secret-keeping objective of the Scorpio (clandestine, ‘not ready for prime time’) ascendant.
