Totally agree about all the liter out there except Chiron. It’s been in my vocabulary for 30 years and has been a consistently accurate key to my readings.Did an 8 hour webinar with Liz Greene on Chiron. She’s convinced!

Ooh. I'm not very knowledgeable about astrology, but I would buy Arroyo's book for the cover alone!

OOOOOHHHHH, did this ever resonate. Thank you for sharing. I am an old soul on a new journey and studying astrology for the first (??!!) time - and so much out there seems so superfluous and so unneccesarily complicated! I'm all about the elements and the basics and totally agree that one's plate can be plenty full with that ;) Should I go on to offer "consultations" or "inquiries" (great word choices vs "readings"), I intend to stick with those basics, and dialogue with the person I'm consulting with!! Reading this was very inspiring & affirming. Blog on, fellow Moon Child! I absolutely LOVE your posts xoxo

I’ll have to look into this; thanks for pointing it out. I especially endorse the obfuscation of the insightful Ancient Babylonian astronomer priests who sought to find some rhyme and reason to the “elements” of the living experience.

To me, an Astrological student for some sixty years. the ZODIAC is an elegant filing cabinet of the phases of experience by sequencing the permutations of elements and modalities (4 x 3). It is limited in forecasting and never compels, but mirrors events and personalities for those who can benefit from recognizing the synchronicity.

I can’t footnote in a comment but I was most influenced by “Astrology” by Davidson; about 100 pages and likely long out of print although I have a well worn copy.

A breath of fresh air, Frederick. I'm ordering the book. Arroyo was one of the first authors I read when first learning this art.

It maybe that for me the moons nodes are adjacent liter.Read 5 astrologers and get 5 different meanings none of which have worked for me consistently in over 30 years as a professional.may be that puts the nodes in a less of a priority mode.

I'm really trying to get back to basics in my astrology study, and this book sounds like a nutritious meal after too much candy. Thanks, Frederick, for your useful thoughts. Always good to hear from you!
