That highlighted part of the three charts made me say "Whoa!" Even a novice like myself can see how everything is lined up.
I don't get the fascination with him or any other serial killers. I have noticed that his name is showing up a lot lately. I've been unplugging, so I'm not aware of as much of the current Blah Blah Blah.
That Uranus square Venus he had..ooof, and even more from my own personal observations I've noticed Uranus/Moon aspects can make for some strange eating tastes.
You're always onto something, Frederick. The connections are there with the charts. Incredible, thank you.
Thanks so much for this insightful analysis of the timing of the series and the charts. One's birthchart does seem to live on after our death! I am also struck by how the series debut coincides with the current transiting Saturn/Aquarius square Uranus/Taurus which I take to show us what limits (Saturn) there might be to our wildest sensual perversities ( Uranus/Taurus). Dahmer's Uranus in Leo square Venus in Taurus fits right into this and forms a T-square pointing at Scorpio: sex, death and transformation. With his first house Neptune hovering about there in Scorpio, he is a perfect projection of that energy. Dark indeed....
This piece oddly coincides with me watching the Netflix biofantasy "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile". It would be interesting to compare Ted Bundy's chart with Dahmer's. Bundy was far more prolific and intense. But fear not, I didn't watch it because of the reasons outlined, but rather I was admiring Zac Efron's 8 pack abdominals, and one thing led to another, and another...
That said, the parallel with America is not so clear to me. Are we at the end of the American Experience as the country dismembers and gobbles up itself? Would the US be better served breaking up (being dismembered) into smaller regions based on socio-economic-political-religious "parts" like the former Soviet Union? I can't wait to enjoy a glass of Chianti when that happens, "fzz, fzz, fzz..."
Frederick, the various angles you cover in this article are astounding. Your mix of the astrological with the psychological is always impressive, but this essay goes several steps beyond by linking Dahmer's sudden reemergence into the public's imagination with the nation's Pluto return.
As Angie mentioned, your example of showing the nadir/midheaven link up between horoscopes is a genuine shocker. And seems to confirm what you mentioned in your excellent Kulhman article about charts living on past their owner's passing.
Congratulations on another winning article, despite the creepiness factor. I love seeing astrology considered and presented through such a bright mind. Thank you!
A difficult subject, one that challenges expectations even for an astrological newsletter as smart and brave as this one. You did not flinch, handling Dahmer with an adult directness and sobriety.
So many dismiss Jeffrey Dahmer as a "monster" -- the sort of facile remark meant to shut down any further exploration. You give us the man in astrological depth. There is no excuse for his actions, and as far as I'm concerned, he got what he deserved when he was battered to death in prison. But here was a person, not a fairytale ogre, who is given his human due in your column.
