Solstice Bounties and Blessings For You
OMG, another f-ing holiday email. But wait, this will be quick. Gifts all around! Including the new RAGE OF AQUARIUS podcast.
In the spirit of Jupiter’s ingress into Aries, meditate on this:
“Everything in my life was luck. The key to having an interesting life is to always say ‘yes’ to anything crazy.” —Freeman Dyson
IN ASTROLOGY, TWO PLANETS correspond to our day-to-day experience of time.
Saturn works as a symbol for Time’s boundary and demarcation-making properties. While in a contrasting balance, the planet Jupiter relates to the feeling of Timelessness. When you’ve slipped beyond Time—it’s a vibe similar to when you’re passionately involved with a project and time feels non-existent.
If I had to zero in on one particular theme for the upcoming new year, it would be a set of opportunities for each of us to experience new dimensions of Time. And this mirrors Jupiter’s ingress into Aries on December 20 of this year. And Saturn moving into Pisces in early March of 2023.
Saturn’s entry into Pisces is the more intriguing of the two transits. The angular distinctions Saturn outlines in life begin to soften and feel more transparent during this phase. So as the year continues to unfold, the opportunity increases to peer through Time and into the heart of the Timeless.
And finally, re the chart for today’s solstice. What a peculiar one-two beat:
Because today’s solstice occurs just as the dark of the Moon is releasing its disintegrative shadows, we might feel like Dorthy in that scene from the Wizard of Oz where she’s crash-landed into an astounding new world. However, the house she traveled in is still colored that dull sepia-brown.
But then she opens the door and…
🎄 YOUR CHRISTMAS GIFT BAG 🎅🏿:
The Rage of Aquarius Podcast.
I’m happy to announce my collaboration with fellow astrologers and pragmatic mystics Rachel Capurso and Andrei Burke from the Aeolian Heart Astrology website.
I’ve known Rachel and Andrei for years (from when we did some earlier pre-COVID podcasts with each other and astrologer Michael Lutin). And have valued their unique takes on astrology, art, philosophy, magic, and the sociocultural mayhem that dominates today’s Zeitgeist.
This fall, the three of us decided to get together again and launch a new monthly podcast series presenting astrology from an oblique angle, a zone Andrei dubbed “outsider astrology.”
And that’s how The Rage Of Aquarius: The Outsider Astrology Podcast was conceived (and then recorded). 👆🏾Be sure to subscribe to the link above to follow our odyssey.
I love how Rachel catalogs our intention in the intro to Episode Zero:
After many years working in this field, we’ve been inspired to create this podcast for artists and astrology students who want fresh perspectives. Our purpose is to break through the echo-chambers of sun-sign horoscopes, zodiacal matchmaking and heavy-handed predictions to reveal astrology as an art that emerges from natural grace and flow.
And speaking of Episode Zero…here ya go:

The Rage of Aquarius video is fabulous, especially the edgy Worst Astrology of the Month segment. Love how the three of you made me reconsider the Jupiter Solstice square in a fresh way. Excited about the new podcast and thank you again for another year of such off-the-grid content. <3 And Merry Christmas Frederick to you and yours!
I'm so relieved to have stumbled into your orbit, and I loved listening to the podcast. I feel like so much of an outsider in the astrology world, so I find this incredibly refreshing - it's so nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks this way!
