The Autumn Equinox is Here
A few ways to welcome the new season. (And happy spring to everyone in the Southern Hemisphere!)
AS AUTUMN COMMENCES, it’s an excellent time to evaluate what we’ve achieved earlier in the year. And to lay out rudimentary plans for what we wish to achieve in the coming new year.
In my latest column for designer Dan Snyder’s CORRIDOR NYC journal, I outline key takeaways by considering Mars’ placement in your natal horoscope.
In astrology, different planets and lights correspond to different psychic functions within each of us. The Sun relates to your originality, purpose, and central concerns in life. The Moon to your emotional reactivity and feeling nature. Mercury is how your mind reads and interprets the world around you. And Venus indicates what you most value and are attracted to. And the planet Mars shows you how you go about getting what you want.
And don’t forget to sign up for CORRIDOR’s newsletter to receive 10% off on any purchase from Dan’s stellar clothing collection.
Although we’re currently out of the last Mercury retrograde transit, people still wonder what the quicksilver planet's ‘backward’ motion symbolizes. There’s a lot of misinformation about retrogrades in general, and doubly so when it comes to Mercury.
On our latest Rage of Aquarius: The Outsider Astrologer Podcast, Rachel and Andrei join me in discussing why and how this cycle impacts us the way it does. You’ll be surprised with some of our contrary takes.
Are you looking, er, listening, for some new music (or forgotten classics) to welcome the new season? Follow along with my constantly mutating playlist, 2023: Exploding Stones, over on Spotify. Sure to surprise you. Maximum impact: Set to random shuffle.

Checking out your musical list. Thumbs up! Hesitant to recommend another novel- did you ever get through Nightwood? Nevertheless, you may like "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead," by Olga Tokarczuk. The main character is an astrologer and there are many astrological references throughout the novel. It is a murder mystery of sorts; very unusual sorts. You may have heard of this author's book, "Flights." She is also a Nobel for Literature laureate. I did not care so much for "Flights" but loved "Drive Your..."
