You might consider yourself blessed with your relationship with your Mom. As much as you were oil and water, so was I with my mother. She a Scorpio and I a Gemini, we couldn’t connect. In all candor, the last words she said to me before passing were, “Fuck you !”. The why is a story of mine and that’s not the share; just a contrast for you to appreciate your relationship. My sincerest wish is that your Mom passed like mine. Pain free. I’m told she just closed her eyes while sitting in her chair…lights out.
Death is inevitable; pain is the real horror as I see it. I was at a seminar when I got the call. At peace, I went back to work.

You know, every now and then, I have the strongest urge to talk to my mom and feel bereft that she is not there; little death confrontations along the way to my own demise.
